(More customer reviews)I like it, but it's not for every occasion and not everyone will like it.
I've used many types of hair products. I've been using gel for years, and before that mousse (remember that?), and some really old guys might even remember brylcreem.
This stuff is thick and pasty and you need to put it on right after you shower when your hair is quite damp, because the paste is like clay, if it's too dry it won't work. It's very thick and has a very good hold, much better than gel.
First of all, my hairstyle is the messy hairstyle, that's the only way I've worn my short hair for about 5 years. I've been using gel all that time and my gel (Pantene) drys very dry without any oil or crunch at all. The only problem is that my hair dries straight.
With this paste, it too dries without being oily, but it dries a little pasty, like you've rubbed clay in it. The hold is strong and you can style it even with your hand afterwards because the paste doesn't dry off, it stays in your hair.
I continue to use both gel and paste, there really is no need to only just use one. I use gel on lighter days and I use paste when I'm likely to be out a lot. The bottom line is, you won't really know if you like it or not unless you try it, just look at all the difference responses on the other Axe paste review. So I wish Axe had come out with a trial sized version for people to try. For me, I like it, I just don't use it all the time, I alternate it with other hair products.
