It worked and I loved it, but about every three weeks I just had to use a shampoo that lathered to feel clean. It seemed Wen left a nasty, gooey buildup. A curly-haired friend recommended Deva Curl No Poo with Deva One Condition and I've been using them for several months. I "wash" my hair every day and have noticed no buildup. A liter bottle lasts about eight weeks for me (I have relatively short hair). Just a note, my hairdresser last week said she can't believe how "healthy" my hair is these days. She, too, has curly hair and is going to try this product.

(More customer reviews)I have naturally curly hair, medium length & medium fine thickness, and I have tried every product to make my curls hang in spiral locks and last throughout the day. This is the only product I've found that actually does it and holds it. Yet, it leaves your hair soft and doesn't weigh it down. Do follow the instructions - it needs to be put on sopping wet hair for best effect. I also have found that the next day, if I just spritz my hair wet and add a bit more Curly Whip the curls are wonderfully renewed. A lot of the reviews I read before I tried it were for thicker hair than mine and I was a little hesitant, but I have found it to work just great on my hair as well.

Aveda Be Curly Shampoo, 8.5-Ounce Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)I choose to perm my hair into loose curls and my hair stylist (who owns an Aveda concept salon) recommended the Aveda Be Curly line. I do, too!! This shampoo helps my curls hold their shape even months after getting a new perm. I know it's pricey, but it's worth every cent. I've used the old Pantene curl enhancing shampoo and it just doesn't hold the curls as well. I don't use the conditioner, because I just can't afford it, but I splurge on the Be Curly Curl Control which works wonderfully on holding the curls and keeping away frizz. If you want to define your curls/waves without the frizz, this is the shampoo for you! On a side note, I also have very oily hair and need use a separate shampoo to combat that (I wash once with the clarifying shampoo and once with the Be Curly).

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately this product didn't give me the results I expected. I used it along with the oil. However the oil is a good product, it definetly made my hair softer. I usually use and love Kinky Curly Custard and wanted to try something else. After applying the Curl Cream i knew immediately the results were going to be different.The curl cream didn't help activate my curls, its was moisterized but dry,smelled great but it looked frizzy and huge of course. Honestly I wouldn't suggest this product for extremly frizzy unless you don't mind puffy hair. If you have soft and thin hair this product might work best for you. Hoped this helped :)

I was actually about to buy another one once this one started to look bad but just didn't have the money. I had only worn this one for about 2weeks and it started to look dry and matted down so I just stop wearing it. Well, I decided instead of buying a new one that I would just try to bring this one back to life; and thats exactly what this spray did! I actually went to the beauty supply store looking for something else that was referred to me but couldn't find it so I bought this. I was very impressed. Not only did it detangle my hair, but it defined my curls and gave it a shine; making it look almost brand new. I am so glad I ran into this spray and I will continue to use it for all of my synthetic wigs!! Also, you get a big bottle at a great price! I think I paid $4.79 for a 12oz bottle which was great on my pockets!!

DevaCare One Condition, No-Fade Ultra Creamy Conditioner Review

(More customer reviews)I just recently tried this product after having used the sister product,Deva Curl Instant Conditioner for over a year. I decided to try the Deva Care because it is targeted for color processed hair. I am very disappointed in the product. I have used it multiple times, and it does absolutely nothing for my hair. My hair actually seems worse off after using the product: more, dry and frizzy. Maybe I got a bad bottle?
I would go back to the Deva Curl Instant. That is a good (although pricey) conditioner:

I also use it when my hair is dry to rejuvenate my curls. I used to use a spray on product called "Jumping Curls" but could not find it. In my search for a replacement I tried many different prducts from Bed Head to Aveda -- the Curl Life product was the only one that proved to be a great alternative to "Jumping Curls". What I like about this product is that it does not weigh my hair down or make it feel sticky or stiff! Its just perfect!

This shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft, and I love the smell; however, I cannot use this shampoo all the time. No matter what I do, it will leave my hair feeling stringy and greasy if I use it too often. My husband, who has very curly hair, tried it also. He has quit using it after almost 2 months of washing with it because it does nothing for his flaky scalp. We were hoping that it would moisturize enough to help rid him of the flakes.

DevaCare One Condition, 12-Ounces (Pack of 2) Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using this conditioner for a year now. I buy the 32 ounce bottle because it comes with a pump which is easier to use in the shower. It is also more cost effective buying the larger size.

Now, about the product...
It does lightly condition the hair without weighing it down. It has an okay fragrance -- not great, but it is light enough not to bother me. Does it control frizz? That's hard to say, because anyone with a serious frizz problem is going to apply an anti-frizz lotion/pomade to their hair before styling.
I like the way my hair felt after I rinsed out the conditioner, and I was able to comb my hair with ease.
You only need to use a little bit. My hair still frizzes in humid New York weather, but I don't believe there is anything that can totally eradicate frizz when up against the New York elements :)
Another user sent me a comment with the following instructions:
"... I just wanted to tell you how I use it and that may help you. It is the best product I have ever used and I have been using it for over 8 years. I bought it after reading "Curly Girl" years ago.I have shoulder length hair.
Use 3 pumps as you would shampoo, rinse, use 3 pumps as you would conditioner..run your fingers through to comb (I don't use a comb or brush outside of this step) and then rinse, before getting out of the shower use 2 pumps that you will LEAVE IN. This is all I use, never a shampoo and never a styling gel or pomade. I use a cotton tshirt to wrap my hair after getting out of the shower (never a towel). I really, really hope it works for you, hope you give it a try."
I tried your recommendation, and it does make a huge difference in the way your hair turns out.
The product is really wonderful. It works as a conditioner and a pomade. Leaves hair soft and silky.
