(More customer reviews)My 12 yr old daughter has alopecia areata - bald spots. One of these spots is on the crown of her head and quite visible (size of large coin). Using this product has reduced the stress level 100%. That is not saying that it is perfect...it is comparing using this vs not using.
If we sprinkle (yes like salt) the fibers on the spot, put hair spray to glue in place, take the hair closest to her spot and comb it over the spot, put more spray to keep that hair in place...her spot becomes virtually invisible.
If we were to only comb her hair over her bald spot we could see the spot miles away.
She now goes to school reassured.
It does not....I mean not....stay in place in extreme weather conditions as advertised!!! We learned this the hard way when she got to school on a very humid wet day and no more hair spray or fibers...spot wide open and very visible...and very upset daughter.
But...no big deal, now we know...We still use the stuff but she wears the cutest baseball cap if it is anywhere close to humid outside.
So...for my daughter's situation it works great until her hair grows back. I am not sure how this would work without a lot of hair around to cover up...
