(More customer reviews)Asian male, thick hair type.
I usually cut my own hair.
Why? Because hard to communicate the hair you want with stylist and stylists aren't exactly the mind readers.
I've got the cutting part down and, usually, I'm content with my hair cuts... also $20 + tips saved.
Now, as far as dying your hair, I still haven't found a silver bullet.
I've tried this one (Palty Honey Borwn) just now.
Same result with any other types of hair dying brands (drug store ones), it works about 3 to 5 percent.
Meaning, it won't make too much difference from your original hair color.
Hair dying product that actually works are ones with bleach in it.
For example, Men's Palty caramel brown will actually be able make a bit of impact and will change your hair color to sort of redish brown.
Since I've bleached my hair, that is starting from much lighter shade, I hoped for more.
But 1.5 hour wasted (worked about 5 percent).
Well, I could spend about $40 to $100 for hair dying at the salon, but hate the dreadful wait time and, it is, after all, expensive.
Anyway, still experimenting (hope my scalp won't go too bad from some unknown chemicals).
If you are leaving in So cal area, cheapest place I found Palty is at Korea Town Plaza on Western blvd, $7.99.
Will update if I find a good way to get the hair colors you want, I'm shooting for ash brown.
Any comments are welcomed if you know some tips.
