(More customer reviews)To say that this is a "bad" mascara would be very untrue. However, because we all have differences in personal style, this mascara is incapable of making every single person who tries it out 100% happy. To me, it is just okay, but to someone who is my complete opposite on the style scale, this may be your favorite mascara. When it comes to my eye makeup, I usually prefer earthy, neutral eyeshadow paired with a very dramatic lash. I like lashes that are long, dark, and voluminous--borderlining on falsies, but not quite there. Maybelline Full 'N Soft just doesn't do that for me. In my opinion, this mascara is for women (or men--hey, I don't discriminate) who would like to look casual during business hours or for teens who are new to makeup and going for a natural look. As far as Maybelline's promise of fuller, softer, healthier, clump-free lashes; I would say that they get a 3/4 rating. While traditional mascaras make your lashes brittle and prone to flaking by the end of the day, Full 'N Soft made my lashes feel as if I weren't wearing any makeup at all--which may be part of the problem, depending on how you look at the situation. When I removed Full N'Soft, my lashes felt healthier than they normally would bare. Also, the mascara delivers on its promise of being clump-free. In a(n)(unsuccessful) attempt to create my more dramatic look, I applied no less than five good coats of this product. While I was silently hoping for at least a little clumpiness to bring the illusion of fullness, this mascara stubbornly refused to tack up on my lashes. Once again, you decide whether that is a positive or negative quality. But when it comes to "full", Maybelline Full 'N Soft just did not deliver to me. My lashes were only minimally more voluminous than when I first put on the mascara (I have moderately thin lashes), and it took 3+ coats to make me look and feel as if I were wearing any makeup at all. So for those of you who want only the most natural enhancement of your lashes to get you through the work day or through your first day of high school, I recommend this mascara. But for those of you (like me) who want lashes that would make even the most draggy of drag queens green with envy, I suggest you better listen to your mama and shop around.
