When I first saw this I was a bit skeptical to try it at first. I usually don't like Revlon's hairdyes & I tend to be picky when it comes to which dye's I will and will not use. I didn't like the older Revlon (dyes) because I found that they stained very easily and that most of them had blue undertones in them (which to me looks alright if that's the look your going for but if you wanna get away with looking like you have naturally black hair then you need something without undertones in it. Also having blue undertones will make the color fade quicker.)
I decided to purchase this & try it out since it was only $2 or $3. I was surprised at how well it worked considering it was a cheaper brand. The color came out a dark&shiny black (well still looking natural). I usually do a pretty good job at keeping the dye from getting on my skin but when it did I was a little bit worried that it would be hard to remove ( The older revlon dyes would take days to remove from my skin.I'd usually have to just let it fade off on its own). It was very easy to remove the traces of dye that was left on my skin (came off with shampoo&water). The only thing I did not like about this dye is that it fades quickly. I used it about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks ago & already need to touch it up a bit. ( I wash my hair every other day with color protecting shampoo/conditioner,use cold or luke warm water,&only use heat products about once a week to prevent fading.)
I hope this review helps you & I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rich black haircolor but doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I'd also recommend buying 2 boxes if you have medium to long length hair.
