(More customer reviews)I've been using this dye for years; I have to buy it online now that it's no longer sold in US stores. It's easy and fun to apply and even smells good, and it's been my experience that if you're careful about how you wash your hair (i.e. use a combination shampoo/condition instead of two separate products so you only have to rinse your hair once) it can last as long as two and a half or three months.
I have noticed that the blue pigments fade much faster than the red; after a week or two my hair is much more magenta-ish or cherry than plum, but I think still very pretty so I've been pleased with it.
It's a great dye if you're looking for a short term change, for more intense or longer lasting color I'd probably suggest going to a hair saloon.

(More customer reviews)Which is why I'm so unhappy that it's been discontinued! It's a purple mousse that smells like grape soda. Squirt it on, work it in, wait 20 mins and you have purple hair. It's soft and very shiny.
My hair is dark blonde with a lot of gray. I color regularly so my hair is porous-for me the color is intense but mellows over time as you wash it. After a few shampoos the color turns more burgundy as the blue fades. The red stays until I color again. If I want to return to a more natural color I either go a little darker/browner or use Natural Instincts "No Brass" Dark Blonde which works well.
I like the look, I like the way the color changes and the way it feels.

(More customer reviews)I used to use this all the time (before I tried getting a job, lol). I have dark brown hair and it did really well. My hair looked really dark afterward, but in the light you can tell it was purple. It's easy to put on, but also easy to get all over the bathroom (I think I still have a mark on the ceiling in our old house) on the clothes, so make sure to wear old clothes, and your body. It only lasted a month or so, course it all depends on how often you showered. Would totally use it again now that I work from home and don't have to worry about hair color.
