(More customer reviews)This product does as promised, which is to enhance your hair color and cover the gray without brassy results. It leaves enough gray and natural highlights behind to make the color look very natural. It does not give the monotone color that many home hair colors do. It is a shame they no longer make the Brass Free in this shade. Nothing else works as well for light blond hair, or it doesn't for me. I bought enough for over a year, so hopefully Natural Instincts will come out with a comparable color by that time. The Natural Instincts product line is better for me because it fades slowly, and does not cause the roots as hair grows. A Clairol customer service rep recommended I buy two different kits and mix the color to provide the same results as the 9C-Light Blond. I don't know if I want to do that, but I may try if a better alternative does not appear on the shelves.

It is very gradual though so you can choose how light you want to go. I used it about 5 times and got the color I wanted. These are a great price too so I baught 4 but one bottle goes a long way.

It's been many colors, but is currently lavender/white (Special Effects mixer/toner) on top, with Special Effects Wildflower underneath. I prefer this brand and color to any other brand of semi-permanent colors I've tried, for its' excellent hue and length of time it keeps my hair toned. This product will work properly on very light bleached hair, (pale lemon yellow) to make it either white, or progressive shades of lavender depending on how long you keep it in. I keep my mixer/toner color on anywhere from 2-5 hours, (with a cap on) to get an awesome shade of lavender that will eventually fade into a silver white over several weeks. (but please make sure to note the manufacturer's directions, and use at your own discretion and risk.) Washing and rinsing your hair with cool water helps sustain the color longer. Having used this specific product for over a year, I have seen that my hair remains healthy, strong, and beautiful.
I get anywhere from 5, to as many as 12 compliments when I'm out grocery shopping. Random people come over to me, and tell me how beautiful it is. I've heard other people talking to others about how gorgeous it is. In all my years dying my hair, I have never had so many compliments EVERY TIME I go out! True story!

Clairol Nice'n Easy Hairpainting, Blonde Highlights 1 ea Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this Clairol hair paint for years, so was distressed to discover I could no longer find it in Walmart, Target, CVS. I don't know if it will come back to these stores or not, but since I had looked for several months and needed it right away, was glad to at least find it on line.
I dye my hair with Garnier Carmel for 30 mihutes and then after hair drys I use the point of this brush to streak my hair with the hair paint and let it color for 90 minutes. My hair is fine, so pulling it thru the caps just isn't an option. I have gotten several compliments on my hair color so must be doing something right.
If I don't find this product in the store, I will order again from Amazon.

(More customer reviews)I am notoriously anal about maintaining my blonde highlights, to the point where my hairdresser makes fun of me--even she doesn't want to see me that much! Sadly the $180 a session isn't enough to keep me away. I think nothing of going in every four weeks or so to get my color done--whether or not I have the money. I happened on this stuff recently at a Sally's Beauty Supply and decided to give it a shot--it's awesome. Totally camoflauged my dark roots, and my notoriously critical coworkers even complimented me on it. It works so well that I just ordered 5 bottles on Amazon so I can always have it handy in a pinch.
Try it. It works!

This shampoo is nothing short of amazing. After one wash, my hair was a sparkly, silvery white blonde. It moisturized real well and it made my hair soft and manageable. I was told by several sources to only use it no more than twice a week.
If you have platiunum blonde hair and want white shiney, sparkley hair than do not hesitate to buy this product!! Worth every penney!

But I knew the color was wrong and was advised by my hairdresser to try Clairol Shimmer Lights. It absolutely does take the yellow out of the hair leaving a beautiful silver color - on me at least. I have had a lot of compliments on my hair since using this shampoo and can only think a lot of it has to do with the clear shiny silver color I now sport. Although I have read that some shampoos for silver hair end up leaving a blue tint, that has not happened with this shampoo.

(More customer reviews)I use this with Pure White lifter for streaks in my own dark brown hair. I mix it to a paste texture, add one streak at a time, cover in foil and let stand for an hour. Then I wash it out. I also use this on my niece who has blone hair that has been dyed red! It works GREAT. My aunt uses this to dye her hair white, but she leaves it on much longer.
If you want to dye your hair at home, I can't imagine much that is easier or better to use. Try half an hour the first time, then work your way up to desired lightness.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Rays Highlights Review

(More customer reviews)Just for reference, the photo shown is NOT the fuschia color. Fuschia comes in a bright pinkish-purple (ie, fuschia) box and leaves the same color in your hair. I have very long, naturally dark brown hair. You get a ton of color in the box for highlighting (not an all-over color, though if you have short hair you could probably get away with that). The wand is a little tough with long curly hair as it can get tangled if you're not careful.
Make sure when applying that you put enough on that you can SEE the color on your hair strands. If you can't see the color, there's not enough on and you might not get a bright result. It's pretty good at not "spreading" when you put the strand down on your head to move to another part.
Even after the color washes out, you're left with some nice highlights. Much better for your hair than bleaching pieces out and putting in temporary dyes. It's also much easier since it's done in one step, not a messy bleach-then-color job. Also less messy "after-math" - you don't generally leave anything "colorful" (like walls, pillowcases, the back of your shirt, etc.) unless you didn't wash the color out well. I will also say, if you get any on your skin while coloring (especially this color, and especially on your face), stop immediately and scrub it off with some shampoo on a rag - otherwise you will end up with a splotch for a day or so.
For me personally, the fuschia color seems to last for maybe two weeks - after that it fades pretty quickly, but like I said, I'm left with some "regular" highlights when it's gone. I've used this multiple times and will definitely use it again!
