(More customer reviews)Just so you understand where I am coming from, I have the coarsest black African hair that I know of and when I used this flat iron at home, my hair looked better than it normally did just leaving the salon. Granted I have very thick hair and normally not enough time to part out the recommended little sections for straightening; even with big sections and a few passes (therefore more than 1), my hair was silkier than many hair extensions, once I was through. The silky texture lasts for over a week, even through humid weather. I don't use heating elements on my hair very much but when I first got this flat iron, it worked so well, I used it quite a bit and it didn't damage my hair. I'll point out that I took care to use heat-protecting serums and conditioners before I used the flat iron. As someone who has tried many a hair product and has a big box of hair dryers, curling irons and flat irons, this is by far the best flat iron I have ever used. It has worked better in my hair than CHI irons or GHD irons. And at $50 from Amazon Supersaver(+free shipping), it is a steal (seriously, market value for these irons sits at around $200). The best bang for your buck, no doubt.
When I read reviews of products, I am always looking for the review that tells me yes, buy this product, it's worth your money and will serve you well. Though I rely on reviews, I don't often post any online but this flat iron deserves it. It is that good!
