(More customer reviews)I have been using this diffuser, and no other, for at least 5 years, maybe more. True, it does not fit every hair dryer, but there are so many reasonably-priced, superb and capable blow dryers out there everyone can find one that will work--usually at Target or WalMart. Mine is a 5-6 year old dented but still fully functional Revlon Hair Appliances Ionic Pro Stylist 1875 Watt Dryer ($24.99 at Target--and I have an older model, of course). My suggestion, though, is that you buy this diffuser first ($8.95, people, c'mon!), then take it with you to any store that sells the blow dryers that most appeal to you, see which ones your diffuser fits ALL the way down the barrel of the dryer without popping off (or do that and then buy it on Amazon!). The reason you should buy this diffuser is that its design is flawless. It is more like thin fingers than any other diffusers, the the fingers are flexible, they don't break and they do not get over-heated and melt and burn your hair. They work SO WELL that you can probably lower the heat of your dryer (I have, and I have VERY thick, wavy, curly, long course,colored and high-lighted, layered hair). Even if your dryer is not super hot, you will achieve pampered, piece-y, defined, non-frizzy curls and waves. In my case, I diffuse the crown and underneath layers, after carefully adding a combination of protectant, volumizer, and soft-curl lotion. I NEVER dry all my hair completely.I make sure I lift small sections at a time (let the diffuser's fingers do the work). It even does a great job on the crown in the back. If I can stay out of high winds before it's dry, I am rewarded with beautiful waves and ringlets. And the next day, after sleeping only on inexpensive satin pillowcases, my hair looks even better,for at least a couple more days. People stop and ask me where I got that marvelous perm. I tell them it's natural and they are amazed.
