(More customer reviews)I'm a Black guy who usually has a non-traditional hair style for an African-American man (I currently have a mohawk...or a brohawk as some of my friends have called it). I also texturize my hair regularly and soon discovered that mainstream hair gels really aren't designed for Black hair. They always made my hair really dry and brittle and made it look very dull; to get around this I would usually put some kind of moisturizer on my hair prior to using hair gel. That was always either too time consuming or too messy since sometimes the hair gel wouldn't mix well with the moisturizer. I'm also not very fond of a lot of products specifically made for Black hair because they rely too much on heavy moisturizers and I hate the greasy residue they leave behind. Elasta QP solves all of my problems in one product. It's a great styling gel that provides sufficient hold without drying my hair out. Once I use it my hair feels flexible to the touch and doesn't have a dull appearance and there's no embarrassing greasy residue. This is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone regardless of race or hair type. I really don't see how anyone could go wrong with this gel.
