As a woman of color, I have spent countless dollars in search of a gel that works well on my hair type which is very thick and moderately curly. This gel is the first that I have found that doesn't leave my hair stiff, flakey or heavy. The curls are left feeling light, natural AND get this...you can actually run your finger through you hair and it falls back into place (that's so not the case with most)! Even better than that is the fact that there is not a lot of hair breakage after shampooing. Again, I found the opposite to be the case with a lot of the others that I have used, possibly due to the fact that most of them contains a lot of alcohol. Though Sebastian may be a little more expensive than some of the others that you can find at you neighborhood drug store, it is worth every extra penny that you don't save!
