(More customer reviews)I've used Herbatint for two years. It's gentle and longer lasting than when I used to go to the salons! I wouldn't have believed that, except I'm seeing it for real. It's darker than the colors show, so for my light/medium brown hair, I mix 7N and 6N and it comes out looking a bit like I have some blonde highlights (not reddish). The little bottles keep until the next time. I put lotion around my scalp line, but it's really gentle enough that it doesn't burn or leave dark areas, but remember I am using the lighter colors. Grey and white hair? Yes, it covers mine, even around the temples, which has always been a hard area for me to cover well. I wear glasses sometimes and the last time I was applying this, I put on an older pair to help me see - it didn't hurt the plastic parts at all. I've spattered it on my bathroom sink countertop and it did not stain at all, even when I found a spot days later and washed it off, no problem. The only down side is that because it is gentle, I don't get the extra body/texture, which I admit I really miss, when I used to get mine done in the salons. Cancer made me change to this, and even though I'd love to have the extra texture in my naturally baby fine straight hair, I'm sticking with Herbatint. I think the tradeoff is more than worth it.
