(More customer reviews)I had always been a Nexus girl, but a few years ago the product didn't seem to work as well as it once did before. I spent soem time trying cheap and expensive shampoos and conditioners, but I never found another one that made my hair feel the way Nexus used to.
Bed Head Dumb Blonde was recommended to me by my stylist a few years ago. I laughed at the name and thought, come on is this stuff really going to work? Plus the fact that, being a blonde all my life and hearing my fair share of dumb blonde jokes...I really didn't want to advertise that I was using a product named dumb blonde.
I started using it and was amazed at the results! I have been a loyal customer to this product ever since, and nothing else has ever come close!My Hair
My hair is straight, thin, blonde and fragile. I get a body perm every six months so it doesn't look so thin. (My hair is so thin that a regular perm would fry it!) My hair gets dry very fast so I need a lot of moisture in my shampoo/conditioner. In the winter our forced hot air heat dries it out, and in the summer it gets very light, but VERY dry from the sun and can look and feel like straw. I usually will use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner, as well as spraying a leave-in conditioner before I style it. It can tend to weigh my hair down if I'm not careful, but the alternative is breakage, thus ending in a good 2"-4" trim every couple months.
I want to keep my hair from looking and feeling dry and brittle. My hair is still long, and I want to keep it that way so I want products that will keep it healthy. I noticed after using Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair was immediately softer and shinier. I was actually quite surprised at the quick turn around in my hair's appearance!
The Shampoo
Dumb Blonde shampoo moisturizes, imparts super shine, and helps protect color (if you color your hair) all while being gentle. The 25 oz. size comes with a pump. I only use one pump of shampoo for my hair, which is a little longer than shoulder length. It lathers up VERY quickly and is the perfect amount. The shampoo smells fruity, but isn't too overpowering.
Dumb Blonde Conditioner-Reconstructor
THIS is liquid gold in a bottle for people with dry and/or thin hair! The conditioner is PERFECT for thin hair because it super moisturizes without weighing hair down. It also is a reconstructor, and I've noticed my hair is a LOT less frizzy after using it. The 25 oz. bottle also comes in a pump, and one to two pumps are all it takes for me. The liquid is the thickest consistency of conditioner I've ever used, but it feels so velvity going into your hair. You can instantly feel a difference when you rinse your hair after applying. And the smell is WONDERFUL. I immediately started getting compliments from my husband and friends about how good my hair smelled!
Overall
My hair looks and feels better after using Dumb Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner-Reconstructor. It's also much healthier, with less split ends and breakage! These products live up to their claims! They may be a little more expensive than your average products, but they are worth it. Also they seem to last me a lot longer than other products, because they are thicker and seem to be a little more concentrated.
