(More customer reviews)I bought this flat iron about a month ago hoping it would work on my medium to long hair that is frizzy/wavy. I had read reviews on other websites about the Corioliss being one of the top 5 tourmaline flat irons and that this particular model (Wet001U) worked well, even for curling the ends of the hair under or out. I have to say that it definitely works best on my hair when it's damp all over. If it is wet/damp completely, the finished product is sleek and straight. Once my hair starts to dry a little before using the Corioliss, the finished product can be a little frizzy. I am still experimenting with different hair products to protect from the close heat contact (TRESemme Heat tamer seems to work so far). If I do choose to blow dry my hair prior to using the Corioliss Wet001U, it seems like it takes longer than my old Ion Tourmaline Series Flat Iron 1" by Jilbere de Paris.
As for the ability to curl your hair with it, I can manage some type of styling. It adds a slight curl to the ends, but I wouldn't using this for making ringlets or major curls (like Farrah Fawcett). It styles your hair to look most like Reese Witherspoon's, but you have to start with wet hair all over and you need heat treating products if you want silky hair.
As a side note, make sure to turn on the flat iron before you shower or just after to give it time to heat up. There is no dial to adjust the temperature, just an on/off switch.
In summation, if you want to cut down on prep time, then you should not let your hair get too dry before using the Corioliss wet-to-dry flat iron and definitely treat your hair with heat tamer/heat recovery products. If you prefer to continue using a hair dryer, then this may not be the flat iron for you (I highly recommend the Ion Tourmaline Series Flat Iron 1" by Jilbere de Paris because you can curl your hair as well as straight it, and it makes your hair looks soft and smooth).
