I have worn the wavy nouveau for several years, and always used just the regular moisturing lotion, and my hair would still dry out on the ends by the end of the day. I have been using the moisturizer lotion with humectant for a month now, and have not had any problems with my hair drying out. My wave styling is just what I wanted to get from the wave nouveau. My hair is not greasy, but not dried out. I love this product, and I think it is the best thing that has happen to my hair. My hair is about five inches long in a bob style, and it was rolled on the dark pink large perm rods, and it looks more like a relaxed style, but NOT DRY ON THE ENDS. I encourage anyone using the wave nouveau perm to also try the moisturizing lotion with humectant.
