Paul Mitchell Systems carries an extensive Awapuhi line, from the original (like this shampoo) to soaps, sprays, and even a more high-end line called Awapuhi Wild Ginger. HOWEVER, if you look on the back of ANY Paul Mitchell Product you will see this in bold: "Guaranteed ONLY when sold by a professional hairdresser, otherwise it may be counterfeit, old or tampered with."
People, PLEASE don't buy your Paul Mitchell products on line, at Walmart, or in any drug or grocery store. Go to a salon that carries them, or to a Paul Mitchell School. I know to do this because I work for Paul Mitchell, and while I was a student at a Paul Mitchell School I did some experiments with products obtained elsewhere, and I was astounded at how much better our guaranteed products work. Just a year or so ago my husband thought he'd be cute and go and get his favorite Dry Wax at our local Harris Teeter for a cheaper price, he came back and even the LID was a different color - not so cute. Browsing through Amazon I've noticed that almost every Paul Mitchell Product is in the old OOOOLD packaging - which is to say the product itself is old.
And as for the women who gave this product one star - well they could've bought a product through here which isn't even real Paul Mitchell. Please remember that all of our color-safe products are designed to work with our colors. My hair is a very bright color which is temporary, and I use this Product along with Shampoo One and the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shampoo and I only have to re-touch my color every 5-6 weeks, so this product helps my temporary color to act like a permanent, and tames my very thick, very curly hair. But then again, I buy it from professionals!
