(More customer reviews)This is the best quality henna I have ever bought. The fine powder was completely free of twiggy bits. My own preference is to mix it up with hot (not boiling) coffee and a tablespoon of vinegar, along with some cinnamon (for the scent). The consistency was just right for covering my hair with almost no spatter - only a little on the sink I was leaning over. I usually have to mop up floor and even walls after applying to my long hair, but this stayed put very well. The color was perfect.
Other reviewers said that they had to sift the powder but that was not my experience at all. And personally, I have never had success with the "mix with lemon juice and leave overnight" method, not with any of the various hennas I have tried. I have finally stopped trying as it's a waste of henna in my experience. The above method works well for me and covers grey hairs nicely.
This is a wonderful product and the price is certainly affordable!Added later: two days after application the color is oxidizing to a lovely auburn as I would expect. I am not sure what problem people have with using hot water (or hot coffee, in my case) to mix henna, but I had excellent results with this.
