(More customer reviews)I'm a guy with long hair. Nice long hair. Hair that women are frequently jealous of.
One of the few hair products I use is Osis Sparkler spray. I used to use Bumble and Bumble Gloss (and in general I prefer the B&B products) but it's got a lot of alcohol. I don't need something to dry my hair out, and pump bottles can be a pain for longer hair.
Sparkler does what it claims to do: adds lots of shine, detangles, smooths. I feel it works best with a flat iron but I frequently use it without. I'd say my hair goes from an 8 to a 9+ (out of 10) with it, it makes a very noticeable difference--especially with blond hair.
Unfortunately, it has a substantial amount of perfume. Not as much as some products I've used but it's noticeable... and with long hair it's inevitable other people will smell it. Bumble and Bumble's Gloss doesn't have a lasting smell, so if you feel odor is a problem you may want to give it a try instead.
With any gloss/shine product, think *layers*. Always use less than you think you'll need, spray evenly, brush/comb it a bit, then decide if you want to add a touch more. In general gloss products won't spread very much, so resist the temptation to spray a bunch in one spot then try to brush it through--you may end up with a very glossy scalp area and dull ends, or vice-versa. Sparkler can build up very quickly, and if you're not careful the result will be the "patches of grease" look instead of the "neat and shiny" look.
It really is a good detangler as well. While I try to use most of it after my hair is dry (easier to see what the final results will be) I like to spray a little in before I start blow-drying; it makes combing/brushing my hair more pleasant.
