It is not a matte coloring. Instead it gives depth of color with natural variations of shade. The product is very easy to use and gives consistent results. The only problem seems to be that it consistently turns hair a little dark than expected.
Nice N Easy does not cause my head to itch the way it does in the salon or when I use some other products.
The "Instant Shine Conditioner, with extra weekly treatments, for smoother, shinier hair than ever" really does leave hair shiny. The weekly treatments are enough to use with each shampoo. There is enough product to use between colorings. It does not leave hair dry or frizzy.
