(More customer reviews)I've been cutting my own hair for about 10 years, and I have a pretty simple style (high and tight -- kind of like a Marine cut). I've had 2 other clippers prior to this, and this is the best one yet. As the prior review states, the clipper is ceramic and moves against a steel comb. The primary advantage I find is that these clippers don't get nearly as hot as my old clippers did after 20 minutes of cutting.
As far as cutting close, I use the bare blade (no add'l or different combs used) right on my scalp and I don't think I could get any closer without using a razor. My head feels like the stubble on your chin at the end of the day. The disassembly has been fine, and the unit is easy to clean. The cord is nice and long, and seems to have plenty of power and sharpness for anything I need. I love it, and would buy again!
