(More customer reviews)I have very tightly curled African American hair. It is thick and difficult to manage. And due to years of abuse my hair was hard and weak. This product gave me instant results. My hair is soft, strong, and smells good. I like the fact that when you order the product, Northwest Scents tells you how to use it. The insert provides directions for a hot oil treatment and a leave in conditioning. I ordered the conditioner and the oil. I recently moved from Florida to Oklahoma where the climate is especially dry in the winter. And I could see the toll it was taking on my hair and scalp, but Northwest Scents combated the issues. My hair is free flowing - the products do not weigh my hair down, my hair holds up under my workouts (usually two hours - 6 days a week), and my hair does not have that build up that many products leave. You know when you scratch your scalp and that residue gets under your nails. Also no frizz. I need to mention that I have sister locks and this is the best product I have found for use with my locks. Also, I have dandruff - really bad. I normally had to wash my hair and scalp with a tar shampoo. No more. I have not used a harsh tar product since coming upon this product. I no longer suffer with itching until my next shampoo. Before Northwest scents I washed my hair at least two - three times a week. I got results the first time I used it.
